Container Check
Validates the selected dumpster size against available options. Standard roll-off containers range from 10 to 40 cubic yards. Each size has an expected empty weight, maximum weight, and included tonnage in the rental.
Load Input
Verifies that a valid load weight or volume has been entered. If using volume, the estimator converts to weight using a material-specific density. You can enter weight directly in lbs or volume in cubic yards.
Weight Check
Compares estimated total weight (empty dumpster + load) against the container's maximum weight limit. Exceeding this limit may result in refused pickup or additional penalties.
Tonnage Check
Compares load weight against the included tonnage in your rental agreement. Most standard rentals include 2–4 tons. Anything above triggers overage per-ton charges.
Overage Estimate
Calculates the estimated overage cost based on excess tons multiplied by the overage rate. Rates typically range from $40–$100+ per ton depending on location and waste type.
