SERP Snippet Preview Simulator

See how your title tag, URL breadcrumb and meta description render in a Google organic search result. Type in place and the blue-link card, live character counters and truncation warnings update in real time — switch between desktop and mobile row styles, and copy the exact on-page meta block as a bonus output. This tool visualizes the result; it does not generate the HTML.

Page basics

url · title · description

drives the domain, favicon dot, canonical URL and the auto breadcrumb

Google shows roughly 50–60 characters of a title before wrapping or cutting it

descriptions render to about 150–160 characters on desktop, less on small screens

Breadcrumb & date line

optional refinements

leave empty to auto-derive it from the URL (domain › first two path segments)

a bolded date can precede the snippet for dated content — use a calendar date or a relative one like “2 days ago”

On-page meta block

this is what the <head> source looks like for the values above — title, description and canonical

SERP truncation notes

how engines cut

Google truncates by pixel width, so character limits are approximations that vary with letter shapes and viewport.

  • Title — about 50–60 chars fit on a line; longer titles wrap and can be cut with an ellipsis.
  • Description — about 150–160 chars render; anything more is clipped mid-word with an ellipsis.
  • Mobile — titles and descriptions can wrap further on narrow rows; the simulator widens the caps per device.
  • Date line — when Google recognizes the entry date it prepends it to the snippet text.
  • Favicon + breadcrumb — today’s results show a site icon and a domain breadcrumb instead of the old green URL.

If a counter reads FAIL, the preview shows the ellipsis exactly where the engine would cut.
