How it works
PDFs are parsed locally with a lightweight object reader. Splitting copies the selected page objects into a fresh
document and rebuilds a valid cross-reference table. Merging remaps object numbers from each source into one combined
page tree. All processing happens in your browser — no files are uploaded anywhere and nothing is stored server-side.
Best results come from classic (uncompressed) PDFs; some heavily compressed files may only partially preserve embedded
resources.
